• The "Grand Opening" of Doylestown Shopping Center in 1960.     And the bowling alley that was located where Bon Ton is now.                                            

•  The Doylestown Fireman's Carnival on the 4th of July (where Heritage & Center Square Towers now stand) with the big fireworks show.                                                  

•  Chicken dinners at Bargers on State street.                                                                                   

•  Quarter Midget races every Friday night in the summer at Doylestown Fair. 

• The Hy-Lit dances at the Key Roller Rink - saw "Little Stevie Wonder" there singing "Fingertips, Part II". 

• The Hiway Diner and Hazel the waitress. 

• The Cherry crumb pie at the Cross Keys Diner. 

• Alex's Sandwich Shop. 

• Rex Brown's Bar (now Maxwell's on Main). 

• Don Sands Shoe Store with the foot x-ray machine. 

• Breaking a balloon at Woolworth's lunch counter to try to get your banana split for a penny. 

• When Hillside Avenue was the last residential street on the south side. 

• When we had to get under our desks for air raid drills. 

• When all the men wore hats and the women wore dresses. 

• When the Acme Market gave Green Stamps and we redeemed them on Court Street where the Domestic Relations Court now stands. 

• Mr. Nelson's Barber Shop and his painting of the dogs playing poker. 

• When the CB High School kids painted scenes on the shop windows on Halloween. 

• When the CBHS colors were Gold & Grey, not Gold & Black. 

• Clempy's Blacksmith Shop on South Hamilton Street near the old Post Office. 

• The Vogue Shop with it's huge windows.
