- Breaking a balloon at Woolworth's lunch counter to try to get your banana split for a penny.
- When Hillside Avenue was the last residential street on the south side.
- When we had to get under our desks for air raid drills.
- When all the men wore hats and the women wore dresses.
- When the Acme Market gave Green Stamps and we redeemed them on Court Street where the Domestic Relations Court now stands.
- Mr. Nelson's Barber Shop and his painting of the dogs playing poker.
- When the CB High School kids painted scenes on the shop windows on Halloween.
- When the CBHS colors were Gold & Grey, not Gold & Black.
- Clempy's Blacksmith Shop on South Hamilton Street near the old Post Office.
